Introduction to Machine Learning
49-781 (Since 2016)

The field of "data science" has changed the landscape of software products over last couple of decades. With deeper understanding of data, we're able to deliver useful and unique capabilities in software products.

This course is designed for current and future product managers to understand the distinction between data-driven and traditional software products. They learn to identify product features made possible by quantitative data analysis and modeling. Hands-on exercises will expose them to techniques for analyzing data, developing insights, building models, and generating value to end users based on the outcome from these models.

Students will go through the life cycle of a data-product and showcase their insight as a product feature.
